About
What is In-Home Boarding?
Most onboarding facilities are just that, a building. In-home boarding is in the comfort of our home. This is a great concept because it allows your dog to live a comfortable lifestyle with us while you are away.
1. You Get to Set The Rules
You tell us what you will and won't allow. We often take boarders to dog park, Bahama Bucks for pup cups, dinner on patios or where ever we go if you say it's ok. We provide your dog with a gps collar (fi collar) when we are out so there is an extra level of security.
2. Dog Friendly Social Space
We have 3 dogs. Apollo is a brindle pit that we often bring to the dog park. A new baby pug we adopted about a month ago and a 16 yr old shih tzu. We also have 2 cats. Hailee and Panama. They have their own area of the house and get away when needed and use a catio as an outside perch.
3. Peace of Mind
Leaving your pet with us is a breeze. The booking page will take you to a portal that will allow you to tell us everything important about your pet. Once you drop off your fur baby, there will be no need to stress! We will take it from there.
4. Lots of Activities
If you give us permission for outings, your dog will either have a Fi collar or an Apple Airtag on at the time of departure from out home, which we will provide). Outings: Dog Park, Neighborhood Walk, Restaurants, Stores, Lake, Pools.
DFW's Best In-Home Boarding
Are you dreading that vacation because leaving your pup at home brings you anxiety? Although having your fur baby by your side every minute is ideal, we know it's not always feasible. Buchanan Boarding offers safe, fun, and trustworthy overnight dog boarding services. With us, your dog will enjoy adventure and play during our planned activities. We’ll guarantee your pup is having the time of their life throughout their stay, so you can have the time of your life while you're away!
Our Family
I'm Shanley and my husband is James. We board pets in our home. I only allow a few at a time. Your pet becomes part of our family while you're out of town. I work in the medical field and only work about 3 miles from the house so I often get home at lunch to let out the pups and James goes in to work after me and always gets home before me. So dogs are only left alone for about 3 hours at a time.
